Insubria Radio meet Sister Romana

Sunday, September 20th, 2008 at the parish of St. Victor the Martyr in Villa Cortese (MI), the S. Mass was dedicated to Sister Romana Sacchetti, celebrating her 70 years, 50 of religious life and 40 spent in mission in Africa.

Instead of the ritual sermon, Sister Roman was invited to the altar to tell about her mission in Guinea Bissau which currently houses 2,000 children and began to work part of the small hospital built in the mission.

The Insubria Radio Club has donated a box full of clothing for children newborn to age 10 years or so, carefully selected by our member Fulvia, which will be delivered in the mission in December aboard an ambulance donated by a benefactor.

The ceremony was attended by the members Joseph IZ2AZ, Emanuela IZ2ELV and Fulvio IZ2EXA representing the whole team.
